George Osborne NOW says the last Labour Government spent too much so WHY in 2007 did he pledge "to match Labour spending"?

In his 2012 Conservative Conference Speech George Osborne said this:

Picture the scene the Jubilee Concert is being beamed live on BBC1 Monday Night with a global audience of millions. Everything going smooth as silk but then you know the problem the next act Stevie Wonder is not quite ready to start. Nightmare! Cue Lenny Henry - gets called up on stage and told to fill some time.
"I'm going to do something now because we've got some time" Before introducing Rolf harris on stage to sing  an impromtu performance "Two Little Boys" accapella sing along to fill some time. "Are you serious?" asks Rolf Harris to Lenny Henry as he enters stage right.
Alls going well the crowd are loving it and all joining in. Lenny Henry cracks "David Cameron singing"
BBC cut to Royal Box profile where we see smiles and singing along from the Archbishop of Canterbury and Princess Anne as they remember like all of us a childhood favourite with great fondness.

But the Queen is looking distinctly NOT amused!

Cut back to the stage and Rolf Harris and Lenny Henry are larking around as Rolf manages sings between laughing. Then that dreadful moment the final chorus: Rolf pretend marching now and Lenny making Rolf noises!

PLAN B: Control Immigration

Background:
Double Dip Recession, Unemployment 2.7m, NHS, Schools, Social Housing, Private Rents, and ALL services under pressure.

PROBLEM:
NET Migration in year ending September 2011: 252,000

Proposal, (Plan B):
If you're holding a dinner party you need to know who and how many people are coming right? Well the UK doesn't have ONE clue how many are planning to come to the UK in any given year. Who they are are, what they do, how long they intend staying or what their long term plans are: ALL UNKNOWN. This is because EU rules allow free movement of it's citizens anywhere within the EU. I say let's leave the EU and start controlling our immigration. I would suggest adopting something like the Australian Immigration Policy. Before you can move to Australia you have to first prove that you can support yourself and that the job you're going to do is one that they require an immigrant to do. NOT against immigration but I am against UNCONTROLLED open door immigration. To me this is just sensible.
David Cameron pledged to get immigration down to the "tens of thousands" by the next election but there is NO evidence that he will succeed in doing this - in fact Net immigration remains at record levels! Given the potential imminent collapse of the Eurozone URGENT action is required NOW! We could soon be swamped by thousands economic migrants fleeing unemployment and poverty and all looking for jobs, benefits, housing, schools, healthcare within the UK.
